What is Rush?
Rush is an event we host a few weeks into each semester. It normally lasts 4 nights,
Sunday through Wednesday. The first night will be an informational meet and greet night
where we welcome you to come and find out more about us while giving us the chance to learn
about you too. We conduct a variety of events for the other three nights which in the past
have included cookouts, trivia, game nights, and panel nights.
What happens after rush?
After rush, we hand out bids to suitable candidates who we think would be a good fit
for our fraternity and if they figure we are a good fit for them the candidates accept
the bid and join the pledge program.
What is the pledge program?
The pledge program lasts around 8 weeks. It consists of attending a weekly meeting
on Thursday evenings and fulfilling a few requirements such as interviewing your fellow
pledges and brothers, participate in philanthropy, professional, fundraising and social
events with the brotherhood. The pledge program is formulated to educate the pledges about
Alpha Kappa Psi and our chapter, Epsilon Sigma.
What qualifies you to pledge AKPsi?
We are a co-ed fraternity. We accept all majors and years. The Georgia Institute of
Technology requires that a student have a minimum GPA of 2.0 to be able to join a
campus organization. Greeks and members of other organizations on campus are welcome
too!
How can I learn more?
